Work Permit Qualifications

School Year 2023-2024

If you are under the age of 18 –

you will need a work permit to legally hold a job.

 

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR WORK PERMIT APPLICATION…

PLEASE BE AWARE THE FOLLOWING QAULIFICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED:

 

Work Permit Qualifications:

  •    2.0 GPA in the last official report card
    •    End of Quarter 1, 2, 3 or 4
    •    UNWEIGHTED
    •    Progress Grades Do Not Count
  •    92% Attendance Rate
    •   Tardies will be reviewed to determine approval – Excessive Tardies will result in your work permit being denied.
  •   Behavior referrals from current school year will be reviewed to determine approval 
    •    If you are frequently being referred to the office for not meeting the behavior expectations of the school or classroom, your work permit may be denied.

Completed Work Permit Applications MUST have wet signatures from employer, parent, and student.  No exceptions! 

 

Please allow up to 2 Days school days for completed Work Permit to be processed.

***A work permit must be revoked whenever the issuing authority determines the employment is illegal or is impairing the health or education of the minor (EC 49164).
