Kline Scholar

As a part of a generous donation by a Class of 1969 alumnus, Mr. Gerald M. Kline. The Jerry Kline Foundation is offering two scholarship opportunities to Poly students.

Kline Improvement Award (10th and 11th Grade)

The Kline Future Scholar Award is for 10th- and 11th-grade students preparing to be college- or career-ready. Ten Poly students (5 sophomores & 5 juniors) will be awarded $500 each in recognition of their improvement at Polytechnic High School.

Award recipients will be notified on Friday, April 17, 2026

Award recipients will be recognized at the Seniors Awards on Thursday, May 21, 2026

Checks will be distributed by Friday, May 29, 2026

The Kline Scholarship (Seniors Only)

Kline Scholarship for seniors ONLY!-The Kline Scholarship for the Class of 2026 is available for seniors to apply. Deadline March 11, 2026, by 3:30 pm.

To apply to this scholarship, you must live on the college campus or college apartments and plan on attending a college outside of the LA area. The University must be a minimum of 100 miles away from Polytechnic HS. Additional requirements are listed below and on the application.

Requirements:

- 2.5 GPA
- Completed application
- Two letters of recommendation
- Transcript (Unofficial)
- Personal insight essay
