English 10A

English 10A focuses on reading selections from different cultures and genres. We read and analyze poetry, short stories, and short non-fiction selections as they appear in the Springboard workbook. Later in the quarter, we "tackle" our first serious work of classic literature (the kind of stuff that really prepares students for college, if they put in the effort to learn it!): Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
