Foot Locker Scholar Athletes - Deadline December 15,2017 ; $20,000
Eligibility Requirements
  • Be a current high school senior entering a four-year, accredited US college or university in the Fall of 2018
  • Be currently a member (in good standing) of a high school sports team or be involved in after-school sports (e.g. intramurals, martial arts, etc.)

CrossLites Scholarship- Deadline December 31, 2017 ; up to $4,000
The CrossLites Scholarship Contest is open to High School, College, and Graduate School students. As an applicant you will write a reflective essay (400-600 words) based on one of Dr. Parker’s quotes or messages. Applicants will be competing against students of their level. You may enter only one essay per application a year, into the contest.
Eligibility Requirements
  • There are no minimum GPA or test score requirements in order to qualify for the scholarship contest. Any student that is currently enrolled in a high school, college, or graduate school may apply.

Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship - Deadline December 5, 2017 $5,000

Eligibility Requirements
  • Be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (k-12)in the United States. Age 5-25
  • Have demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States within the last 12 months. 

AXA Achievement Scholarship - Deadline December 15, 2017 $25,000

Eligibility Requirements
  • Be U.S. Citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico
  • Be a current high school senior who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year of four-year college 

Light the Way Scholarship - Deadline December 15, 2017 $25,000

Eligibility Requirements
  • Applications for the Light the Way Scholarship are due by December 15, 2017.
  • All scholarship applicants must also have an application for admission submitted by December 15.
  • Recipients will be notified by February 15.

Alliance of Asian/Pacific Administrators - Deadline January 26,2018

Eligibility Requirements
  • Is of Asian / Pacific Island Asian ancestry.
  • Will be a graduating senior of the Los Angeles Unified School District in June 2017.

The Rotary Career Technical and Community College Scholarship Application is for scholarships for $1,000 and is available for students interested in a Vocational program or a Community College program. Students must have at least 3.0 GPA to qualify for this application.

Association of Educational Office Employees: College Scholarship Application- Deadline February 22,2018  $3,000-92 awards

Eligibility Requirements
    • All scholarship applicants must be interested in pursuing a professional goal or a career degree.
    • Must attend a school within the continental United States, including Alaska and Hawaii
    • All applicants must be typed or legibly printed in black ink only
    • Selection will be based on grade "B" or better and a family financial need.
    • Attach sealed transcripts with senior grades posted.
    • Proof of financial need must be included with application. Two of the following documents: 2017 W-2 Form, 2017 Income Tax Return, or three(3) months of current pay stubs. 
    • All applicants must attach two (2) Letters of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or administrator. One of the required letters may be from a community leader or job supervisor who can verify character and goals. (Letters should be no more than one page long, double-spaced)
    • Provide a brief statement (no more than one page, 200 words, double spaced) about yourself, your goals, and how you will use your scholarship. (Font size: 12 margins: 1 inch)

California Association of Winegrape Growers Foundation Scholarship $8,000 - $2,000 – Deadline March 18, 2018

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a Central Coast high school student graduating in 2018 or a student enrolled at Alan Hancock Community College or Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo; 
  • Plan to major or are majoring in viticulture or enology at either Alan Hancock Community College or Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo;
  • Complete the application form;
  • Attach official, high school transcript and/or most current class enrollment and transcript forms;
  • Attach a copy of your SAT or ACT results if you are applying for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo;

World Trade Week $8,000 - $2,000 – Deadline March 18, 2018

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Full-time Student:  A candidate must be enrolled in a full-time academic program in California relating to international trade with verification of a min. 3.0 GPA.  If a student’s major does not have an international dimension, an international trade internship will suffice.
  2. Trade Experience Report (one to two pages): Essay should detail the candidate’s demonstrated commitment to a career related to international trade and/or global business through an internship, work experience or key project related to these fields. The internship report should include the name of the organization/company, explain the international aspect of their business, along with a description of activities as an intern or employee. Project-related reports should include a description of key elements learned during the report and concrete plans to pursue a career in the field. 
  1. Letter of Recommendation:  Two Letters of Recommendation, one of the letters must from the faculty member.
  2. Future Mentor:  A candidate must be willing to become a future international trade mentor to other students once he or she has become an international business professional

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a high school senior
  • GPA : 3.0 or higher, have succesfully completed the required credits for graduation.

  • Have been accepted and enrolled at a two or four-year college or university in a program focusing on the above identified science field.

Hsiao Memorial Social Sciences Scholarship- $1,000 Deadline May 14th, 2018

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Grade level: graduate student attending US based college or university in 2018-19
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Pursuing a graduate degree in the social sciences, economics preferred but not required
  • Research/study topics: preference given to topics that benefit those in social/economic need, especially Asian and Asian American communities
  • Ethnic heritage: preference for Asian heritage though not required
  • Residency: US citizen, resident or foreign national
  • Financial need
  • Preference given to those whose journey parallels Dr. Hsiao’s who struggled to obtain his education in the midst of financial uncertainty as a young graduate student from China. He devoted his career to academia as a professor in the field of economics. He also was committed to giving back to those in need, including lecturing in China upon his retirement to educate the post-Mao era of economists who are now leading the country.



Los Angeles Federal Credit Union Scholarship (Jack C. Mathews Scholarship Fund )- $1000 Deadline April 30th, 2018

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a current member of Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (but not a LAFCU employee nor a family member of an employee) • Be a high school student graduating in 2018, or be a college, university or trade school student attending school in Fall 2018. • Have a minimum 2.50 GPA • Submit all required paperwork along with a completed application by the deadline.

AES Engineering Scholarship- Deadline October 18,2018  ; $500

Eligibility Requirements
  • Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.

  • Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

  • You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
