Bio | I grew up in Los Angeles (Atwater Village) and my descent is Guatemalan/Peruvian. I attended Dayton Heights Elementary and moved to Atwater Avenue Elementary in the 3rd grade. I attended Washington Irving Middle School and my high school was completed at John Marshall (Home of the Barristers). All schools attended are part of the LAUSD. Growing up, I was actively involved in the LAPD Explorer Program. I began as a recruit at the age of 14 and achieved the rank of Captain and Battalion Commander for Post 43x - Northeast Division. I began teaching at Miguel Contreras when the school opened in 2006. Currently, I teach in the Math/Science/Technology Magnet Program @ John H. Francis Polytechnic High School.
