Class councils are student-led leadership groups dedicated to representing and supporting each grade level. Each council works to plan class events, promote school spirit, raise funds, and strengthen the student voice within the school community. From organizing dances and spirit weeks to fundraising for prom or senior activities, class councils help shape the high school experience for their peers, which includes:

  • Planning and running events (e.g. freshman welcome rally, senior kick off, etc)
  • Represent their grade’s ideas and concerns
  • Build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Collaborate with staff and administration
  • Create lasting memories and class traditions
 

Any student interested in leadership, event planning, and making a positive impact on their class and school.

ASU

The Asian Student Union (ASU) at Poly High is a student-led club dedicated to celebrating and sharing the diverse cultures, histories, and experiences of Asian and Pacific Islander communities. ASU provides a safe, inclusive space for students to connect, learn, and express pride in their heritage while also educating others and building cultural awareness across campus.

All students are welcome and not limited to students of Asian descent. Below are examples of activities and events that ASU has hosted in the past or plans to host in the near future:

  • Celebrate cultural holidays and traditions (Lunar New Year, Diwali, Mid-Autumn Festival, etc.)

  • Host cultural showcases, food fairs, and community events

  • Discuss current issues affecting AAPI communities

  • Collaborate with other clubs for school-wide events

  • Create a welcoming community of support and friendship

The award-winning Poly High Drill Team is a dynamic, high-energy performance group that combines precision, rhythm, and school spirit. As one of the most visible spirit leaders on campus, the Drill Team performs at rallies, football games, parades, competitions, and special school events. Through dance, teamwork, and discipline, members build confidence, strength, and lifelong friendships.
