SLC VISION FOR HABIT
HABIT is a federally funded job skills program which prepares students for immediate employment or post-secondary school education in current or emerging technical careers requiring other than a baccalaureate degree.
STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES FOR HABIT
10TH GRADE:
-demonstrate the ability to follow written technical directions.
-complete/update a resume.
-demonstrate the ability to speak and listen effectively during a mock interview.
-demonstrate basic math ability using fractions, decimals, percentages, weights/measures.
-read, interpret, and create graphs and charts.
11TH GRADE:
-complete a research paper on career choices and options.
-complete a job application and resume.
-demonstrate the ability to speak and listen effectively during a mock job interview.
-demonstrate basic math ability using teamwork to complete a service learning project.
-identify the role of labor and works' rights issues.
-describe occupational hazards and importance of workplace hygiene.
-demonstrate the ability to complete a word processing/internet research assignment.
-demonstrate ability to complete a production task based on blueprints/drawings.
-plan, perform, and finish a woodworking/agricultural/food service production assignment.
12TH GRADE:
