Vision/Mission

§ A Liberal Arts Program that exposes students to a variety of careers and academic subjects.

§ International/Global Studies

§ Focuses on:

o Language
o Communication
o International Law, Politics, Trade, Economic Development (Internationalism)
o Multi-Culture(ism), Cultural Development, Human Interaction
o Environmentalism
o Leadership

Success Criteria (Process)

§ Develop thematic unites unifying the various disciplines
§ Analyze literature exhibiting actions and consequences of varied priorities.
§ Provide opportunities for students to interact with their peers, their parents, and their community.
§ Practice and build continued reading and writing skills, and advance thinking processes.
§ Prepare an academic college and career plan.
§ Generate situations in which students will—through writing, correspondence, discussions, and presentations—generate dialogue with other person of different experiences.
§ Provide opportunities for students to engage in presentational artistic activities such as drawing and speaking.
§ Provide opportunities for students to study the processes of governance and leadership, which will culminate in opportunities to lead other groups and classes.

After School Program or Activity

§ Model United Nations
o Students would meet to discuss world affairs and address international problems.

§ Career Fair
o Students would research a career in a field
o Students would create a presentation (Video, Poster Board)
o Students would present their career to another class or present it at a Career Expo/Fair.

§ International Field Trip to France or French Speaking Country
o Junior or Senior Trip to experience French Culture as well as utilized the language skills they have developed in 3-4 years of high school French.
