The goal of the Tech Arts Academy is to provide the students an opportunity to pursue areas of interest (Auto Mechanics, Robotics, Computer Networking, Database, Computer Repair, Drafting, and Wood Working) for a possible career and provide them with the opportunity to prepare themselves for college.

TECH ARTS ACADEMY CRITERIA

By the end of 10th grade, a TECH ARTS student will have successfully completed the following:

2. Display a practical application of his or her interest area of technology for the class.

3. Successfully completed at least one TECH ARTS elective.

4. Type at least 25WPM.

5. Present in class, a Power Point presentation on a country of choice to include:

a. Available technology;
b. What budget would be required.

6. Create a web page to communicate their personal interest.

7. Design an interactive portfolio for resume purposes.

8. Be able to draft a blueprint for creating a functional carrying device (backpack, crate, box)

9. Research paper on a technical document.
