Poly was the most awesome high school in the SFV when I attended. Great facilities, terrific teachers, winning athletic teams, and the best of everything.
THE BEST PART OF MY DAY WAS THE NOON DANCE! The Noon Dance was held every day in the girls' gym (now the blue gym I guess). It started every day 15 minutes after lunch period began and ended when lunch period ended.
The cost was 10 cents, and all the money went to buy new records, so we always had the most popular songs to dance to.
Everyone ate lunch fast so that we could be in the gym for the first dance.
Not to brag, but I was the best dancer in the entire school and all the girls wanted to dance with me.
No other high school in the SFV had a noon dance. We thought we were special.
