Description

This is a competency-based course designed to prepare students for employment in legal occupations. Technical instruction includes an orientation, safety policies and employability skills.  Emphasis is placed on the nature of law, the American court system including criminal and civil legal actions in a variety of areas including: Constitutional, criminal, contract, business, torts, consumer, trademark, family, and wills, trusts and estates.  The competencies in this course are aligned with the California High School Academic Content Standards and the California Career and Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards.
