Per 1 AP Lang & Composition Part B Assignments

Today on 6/2 and 6/3:

1)  Timed spent studying for allusions....prepping for poetry recital on Monday.  

 

HW = Allusions test (and allusion entries) to be turned in on Tuesday.  Keep journals too - we will have one last journal.

Today on 5/31:

1)  HW Collected - typed poem and I am Joaquin questions/answers

2)  Allusions (1) only

3)  Finish resume (due Wed. printed out and turned in)

 

HW = Study allusions - test on Wed. 6/7;  #16-25;  Prep for poetry recital (date TBD)

Today on 5/27:

1)  Poetry "I am Joaquin"  Packet given in class and handout w/ questions....

2)  Part II of this poem was to write and type up an I Am poem.....link to that is attached.  (Sorry I don't have a link to the other poem (so Betzy - you can get packet on Tuesday, but please do poem and type by Tuesday).

HW = write one analysis paragraph comparing Hughes & Notorious BIG poems, then create a short poem that focuses on the 5 senses.  Subject matter = write a poem about your dreams....bring to class tomorrow to turn in just before SBAC testing.

2)  Last Lit Circle (but you still need to finish the book by Tuesday)

2)  Frost:  Mending Wall (read and think about poem in first packet you have).  Then, with the second packet given in class, read the poetry analysis of both student essays and annotate both of these by Monday.  You will turn in before SBAC test.

2)  Part II of Journal - reread your quarter 1 analysis essay and reflect on it.  1 paragraph.

3)  Poetry unit started:  Robert Frost:  The Road Not Taken & Acquainted with the Night.  Lessons given in class on rhyme scheme, etc.

3)  Intro to new project - Resume.  Go to schoology and enter this code:  PSH6F-76THJ  It's a new quarter so you have to start over with a new code.    After you enter code, go to resume template and download and save in Google docs.  Rename to say resume.  Start working on this in Google docs.  Fill in what you can.
