1. Heard presentations from SLC (Small Learning Community) presenters, who gave interest surveys to help us choose which SLC to join. We will be attending the SLC fair next Wednesday, and choosing on Thursday.
2. Reviewed Expository Styles Worksheet #4, including the thinking map
3. In pairs, continued planning the essay from Worksheet #4, including finishing the thinking map (Circle Map for Description), with at least FIVE ideas; choosing the best three, putting them in order, and adding what details would be required to write about each idea. At this point, the essay has been PLANNED!
4. Homework is to write the essay.

5. Created a new journal assignment to find three significant moments in Superman & Me (Entry #8, titled, "Superman SIGMOs"). Create a T chart, and on the left put the quote from the text; on the right put what that quote MEANS (paraphrase it), and why it MATTERS (why do you think it's significant, important, had an impact, etc.
