Dear Abby (not related to Abigail in the book) is a famous advice columnist. Write a letter starting with "Dear Abby" as though you are Elizabeth Proctor. Tell her what kind of person you are, and why you are frustrated, angry etc. In the end, you ask her for advice. Don't sign your name or mention anyone else's name. At the end of the letter you sign "Sincerely, (a disgruntled wife, mad wife, etc).


Part of the class will write letters, other half will write resonse.

HW = Create the first page of a newspaper. Assume it's at least 1621. You are a reporter from England and are going to write an account of the Pilgrims who landed in America. You can make the stories sound more interesting than they are and you can make them up! You need at least 3 stories, 1 picture. Front page should have a title. Front page does not need to be typed, but can be done neatly with pen/pencil and colored pencils. **Big Hint - Use the account of William Bradford "OF Plymouth Plantation" for your story ideas.
