Dress Code Poly H.S. Student Standards
- No Authorized head coverings (including, but not limited to, bandanas, hair nets, headbands, handkerchiefs, T-Shirts, sweatshirts, sweatshirt hoods, and wave caps). Headgear permitted are unaltered Poly hats worn brim forward out of doors.
- No see-through clothing such as sheer tops or bottoms; no mesh clothing.
- No undergarments (bras, undershirts, boxers) may be worn as a visible part of ordinary dress.
- No halter tops, tube tops or strapless tops.
- No tops with exposed midriffs or low-cut necklines (for males and females).
- No gang affiliated attire.
- Skirts or shorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh and hemmed.
- No excessively baggy or sagging pants. Pants must be worn at the waist and overall straps must be worn over the shoulders
- No extra long belts, belt buckles with initials, or chains on pants.
- No shoes with retractable wheels may be used to skate on campus. Electronic devices including but not limited to Gameboys, CD (riding skateboards and rollerblades at school are against school and District Policy).
- No spiked collars, necklaces, bracelets, long chains, or anklets.
- No languages advocating drugs, tobacco, alcohol, sex, or violence may appear on clothing or backpacks, gym-bags etc.
- No messages on clothing that may be construed as negative or offensive against any ethnicity, gender, or other specific group.
- Players, Walkmen, Radios, beepers, Cell phones and Laser Pointers may not be used at any time during the school day and will be conficated. Please see the Dean's Office, Freshmen Centre Office, or Tenth Grade Center Office for the return policy.
*Deviation from the above policies may result in confiscation and.or disciplinary action.
Your son/daughter has violated the school dress code. As a parent, we hope that you will take an active part in your child's future. Please review the Poly student standards and help us enforce it.
